December 24, 2021 the Interstate Bank, the CIS Executive Committee and the Council of Heads of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the States CIS participants held an online session on the topic: "Trade and Development. Settlements in national currencies as a factor in the development of mutual trade" at the site of the Sputnik agency.
Representatives of the CIS Executive Committee, the Interstate Bank, the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation, the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus, chambers of commerce and industry and the banking sector of the states CIS participants, discussed the development of mutual trade and settlements in national currencies.
Vice President of the Interstate Bank I. Chumakovsky spoke about the role of the Interstate Bank in the development of this area.
The CIS Executive Committee together with the Interstate Bank are holding a session on the topic "Settlements in national currencies as a factor in the development of mutual trade"' with the participation of the CIS Chambers of Commerce.
The session will be held online on December 24, beginning at 13:00.

On December 02, 2021, the 63rd meeting of the Interstate Bank Council was held in Moscow under the chairmanship of Ksenia Yudaeva, First Deputy Governor of the Bank of Russia. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Moldova and the Republic of Tajikistan.
Yerbolat Dossaev, Chairman of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan, was elected Chairman of the Council of the Interstate Bank for 2022.
Tashkent hosted the International Financial and Banking Forum 2021. At the plenary session President of the Interstate Bank N.V. Gavrilov made a report on the topic "CIS: the financial market in the interests of citizens".
The President touched upon a very important component of the activity of financial markets - humanitarian.
"The purpose of the functioning of the financial market should be not just to ensure the movement of funds in one form or another, but such activities that will ultimately contribute to improving the well-being of citizens, providing them with all types of financial services on equal terms", - Nikolai Vyacheslavovich emphasized.
Based on the current financial situation and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, N.V. Gavrilov emphasized the need to create such a financial space in the CIS, where residents of countries, regardless of their citizenship and location, will have access to all types of financial services without restrictions and on equal terms.
The Interstate Bank participates in this process and will contribute to the development of financial services.

The CIS Executive Committee together with the CIS Financial and Banking Council and the National Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan will hold the II International Financial and Banking Forum of the CIS Member States. The forum will be held in Tashkent on November 25-26, 2021.
The Interstate Bank will be represented by the President of the Interstate Bank N.V. Gavrilov, who will speak at the plenary session of the forum.
The Interstate Bank with the Eurasian Economic Commission, prepared a collection of materials based on the results of the VII International Macroeconomic Seminar on the topic "COVID-19 Pandemic: Symptoms and Treatment of the World Economy", which was held in November 2020.

On November 10, the VIII International Macroeconomic Seminar, organized by the Eurasian Economic Commission and the Interstate Bank, was held on the topic “Integral world economic order: a compromise of market and social incentives”. The seminar was opened by the Member of the Board (Minister) of the EEC Sergey Glazyev.
The seminar was moderated by the President of the Interstate Bank - Nikolay Gavrilov.
Dmitry Mityaev, Executive Secretary of the Scientific and Technical Council of the EEC, head of the IRIAS Center, opened the seminar with a report on the concept of an integral world economic order as an alternative to the chimera of inclusive capitalism.
UNCTAD speakers Anastasia Nesvetailova and Igor Paunovich highlighted the topics of sustainable economic growth in the post-pandemic period and the interconnection between climate change and global development problems.
Program director of the Valdai International Discussion Club Yaroslav Lisovolik raised the issue of the participation of regional integration associations in the restoration of the world economy.
Kirill Chernovol, Deputy Head of the Russia-OECD Center, RANEPA, continued to develop the previously identified issue of transition to a green economy. Kirill also highlighted the topic of transition finance and adaptation of world experience in relation to the EAEU countries.
CEO of the Institute for Economic Strategies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Alexander Ageev, made a report on "Measurements and management: dynamics of a Compromise".
Christina Shvandar, Head of the Center for Advanced Financial Planning, Macroeconomic Analysis and Finance Statistics at the Research Institute for Financial Research of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation, spoke about a new study on measures to support national exports under the influence of the pandemic.

On November 10, 2021 the Interstate Bank together with the Eurasian Economic Commission will organize the VIII International Macroeconomic Seminar. This is a traditional annual event dedicated to the main trends and forecasts of the world economy, as well as presentations of reports of leading international organizations (IMF, ESCAP, UNCTAD, etc.).
The theme of this year's Seminar is “Global Economic System: Trade-Off Between Market And Social Incentives”.
The Seminar is going to be attended by the representatives of the international organizations, integration associations, national and supranational regulatory bodies, development institutions, academia and business.
The Seminar will be held in a hybrid mode. Participants will be able to attend the Seminar online. Connection information will be posted additionally.

On August 9th 2021 Fitch Ratings has affirmed Interstate Bank's Long-Term Issuer Default Rating (IDR) at 'BB+' with a Stable Outlook.
Fitch rates the Interstate Bank as a supranational administrative body, given its unique business model as a multilateral settlement institution operating in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). Interstate Bank's ratings are support-driven and derived from the rating of its key shareholder, Russia (BBB/Stable).
In Fitch's view
, Interstate Bank's financial profile is resilient to negative pressures stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic. The Bank provides cash and settlement services to its clients, both in national currencies of CIS countries and in freely convertible currencies.
The Interstate Bank continues to adhere to its renewed strategy through 2025, which envisages greater participation in integration projects and collaboration with central banks, and an increase in cross-border transactions in national currencies.
Furthermore, the Bank's risk management framework is prudent outside of its inherent concentration of Russian exposures as well as the Bank faces minimal foreign-exchange (FX) risk as it does not hold open FX positions except for small cash balances.

On June 30, 2021 the 44th meeting of the Eurasian Council of the Central (National) Banks was held via videoconference.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the central (national) banks of the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan and the Interstate Bank.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the development of the banking sector, financial stability, the main directions of monetary policy and other topics.

Межгосударственный банк проводит открытый конкурс по выбору аудиторской организации – аудитора финансовой отчётности Межгосударственного банка, подготовленной в соответствии с Международными стандартами финансовой отчетности (МСФО) за 2021 год.
Порядок проведения конкурса содержится в приложении 1 к настоящему информационному сообщению.
Конкурсная документация предоставляется аудиторским организациям в течение 3-х рабочих дней с даты поступления письменного обращения, которое принимается Конкурсной комиссией не позднее, чем за 5 рабочих дней до окончания срока подачи заявок на участие в конкурсе.
Заявки аудиторских организаций на участие в конкурсе принимаются Конкурсной комиссией до 18:00 часов 28 июня 2021 года. Форма заявки и требования к оформлению и содержанию заявки приведены в приложениях 2 и 3 к настоящему информационному сообщению.
Участником конкурса может быть аудиторская организация, отвечающая требованиям к участникам конкурса по выбору аудиторской организации – аудитора годовой финансовой отчётности Межгосударственного банка (приложение 4).

ACRA affirms BBB+ of the Interstate Bank, outlook Stable, as per the international scale and AA(RU), outlook Stable, as per the national scale for the Russian Federation
On March 30, 2021 the 43rd meeting of the Eurasian Council of the Central (National) Banks was held via videoconference.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the central (national) banks of the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan and the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the Regulation and Development of the Financial Market.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the Basel Standards (Basel II and Basel III), issues of using risk-based supervision and regulation, and other topics.
On March 11-12, 2021, the International Economic Forum of the CIS member States "CIS-30 Years" was held in Moscow at the Congress Center of the World Trade Center, organized by the CIS Executive Committee and the CIS Business Center for Economic Development. The Interstate Bank became a partner of the Forum.
The President of the Interstate Bank N. Gavrilov took part in the Forum and spoke at its plenary session.
In his speech, N. Gavrilov highlighted the development of the financial markets of the Commonwealth in retrospect, as well as the state and potential for the development of settlements in the CIS national currencies. He urged to think about mechanisms that could stimulate the development of such settlements.
N. Gavrilov presented the Interstate Bank, which, due to its status as an international organization founded by the CIS countries, and the specifics of its activities, can provide effective settlements in national currencies between participants in the foreign economic activity of the CIS countries. The Bank systematically develops operations with national currencies.
"At the present stage, the Interstate Bank is ready to act as a settlement center, a payment gateway, taking into account the existing payment systems in the CIS countries," N. Gavrilov said. The role of the Interstate Bank as a gateway for settlements is especially important given the existence of crisis phenomena in the global economy, as well as emerging international restrictions.

The Interstate Bank has direct access to the payment systems of the central (national) banks of the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, and the Republic of Tajikistan. The focus of banking activities is aimed at transactions with the national currencies of the CIS countries.
The President of the Interstate Bank N. Gavrilov will take part in the International Economic Forum «CIS - 30 Years».
The forum will be held in Moscow on March, 11-12. The Forum is organized by the CIS Economic Development Business Center with the support of the CIS Executive Committee.

A round table was held at the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on the topic “Ensuring financial and economic sovereignty and protection of the system of monetary circulation in the Eurasian Economic Union in modern conditions”.
The Chair of the Federation Council Committee on Foreign Affairs of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Konstantin Kosachev was the initiator of the event. The Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Nikolai Zhuravlev appealed to the participants and guests of the session and delivered introductory remarks.
The President of the Interstate Bank Nikolai Gavrilov made a presentation on settlements in national currencies as an element of the economic security of the EAEU states. Particular emphasis in the speech was made on the existing risks and problems that hinder the widespread use of national currencies, as well as on proposals for the development of settlements.

The Council of the Interstate Bank has appointed Nikolai Gavrilov to the position of the President of the Interstate Bank effective from January 1, 2021.
Mr. Gavrilov has many years of experience in the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation and in the Russian banks. In particular, Mr. Gavrilov had been the CEO of JSC Eximbank of Russia in 2004-2014.
The Council of the Interstate Bank expressed its gratitude to Igor Souvorov for the successful management of the Interstate Bank in 2009-2020.
