On August 5-7, 2026, the VIII Kyrgyz-Russian Economic Forum was held in Bosteri, Kyrgyz Republic. The event brought together representatives of government agencies, businesses, development institutions, public organizations, and the expert community from the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, and the EAEU countries.
Director of the Strategic Development Department of the Interstate Bank Lyubov Khomyakova took part in the forum.
The participants discussed a wide range of topics, including: the economic development of Central Asia, the experience of integrating economic systems and responsible development of Russia and Kyrgyzstan, priorities of the strategic partnership 2030, financial architecture and new financing tools, etc.
Following the forum, about 40 agreements totaling $848.6 million were signed. A significant part of the agreements was concluded with the participation of the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund. They cover industry, agriculture, transport, logistics, tourism, digitalization, and support for small and medium-sized businesses.
The forum took place during the official visit of the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin to the Kyrgyz Republic and the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council (EIGC) in Cholpon-Ata. The meeting was held in both narrow and expanded formats. The heads of government of the EAEU countries considered a wide range of issues related to the further development of Eurasian economic integration.
