The Interstate Bank is one of the first international organizations established within the CIS. The Bank was founded in 1993. The Agreement on the Establishment of the Interstate Bank and the Articles of Association of the Bank are registered with the United Nations.

The Interstate Bank’s mission is to facilitate the economic integration and growth of the CIS national economies by establishing a settlement mechanism for cross-border transactions in national currencies, supporting international trade transactions and participating in interstate projects.
